Conservative Media Bias? Forgive me for laughing

I have a liberal friend.

Yes it is possible.

She is always complaining that the media is too biased against liberals.

I'm like... "Um... HUH? Are you serious?"

"Well, yeah. They are anti-democrat. It's obvious."

"How?"

"Two Words. Fox news."

"So? I think they are actually relatively fair. Of course they lean right so they will be more on the conservatives side, but I have seen them standing up against conservatives when they deserve it as well."

"But they are mostly right. They are mostly for the Republicans and always slam Obama."

"So?"

"So?? So how is that fair?"

"How is it fair that people should say Fox shouldn't stand up for our side because they are being biased and not fair and balanced... yet they don't say anything about the left wing biased in the mainstream media.

You guys have ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, CNBC, PMSNBC. You have people like Chris Mathews who basically said Obama's words were "the new testiment". You have other liberal talk show hosts calling Obama's speeches "Symphonies", and comparing him to Christ himself.

On PMSNBC Obama can do no wrong, the right can do... well nothing right, despite the records that say otherwise.

If it is Clinton, it was just sex and it was personal. If it is Palin... it is a scandal and her underage daughter is fair game. If it is a liberal underage child of a politician, they are off limits. If it is an underage child of a republican, they are again, fair game to drag through the mud.

Magazines have Obama on the cover lovingly hugging his wife, or a head shot with a blue sky and puffy white clouds surrounding him like he is a holy man. These same magazines have dark pictures of McCain making him look like a beast from hell. Is that fair and balanced?

Obama could take a hundred jabs at McCain in his speech, yet all you hear about are the 2 total jabs McCain took at Obama.

Obama has a questionable voting history, and associations... yet they only talk about McCain being pro-life and a bad public speaker. even when he has people on their feet cheering and chanting USA... he still wasn't enthusiastic enough.

We have Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly speaking for our side. We only have Fox news. I guess it does seem unfair that our side is more hard hitting, takes no gup from the left, and asks the tough questions of all politicians. They remind everyone candidates are still people, not gods.

I could see how unfair our 1 station seems next to your 6."

"what about conservative talk radio?"

"ok, what about it? You guys had a liberal talk radio show with Al Franken and Janine Garaffalo. It's our fault your station was so bad that even your side didn't want to listen? You can't blame us for the bad ratings that caused liberal talk radio to fold."

She couldn't come up with any more arguments after that.
