Palin's Lies

I get a lot of messages about how scary it would be to have Palin in office because she opposes sex-ed, she opposes evolution and wants only creationism taught, She tried to get a man fired from his job because he was her sister's ex-husband, Dragging her daughter into the spotlight, she's a liar and fast talker.

Let's start with the lies.

What exactly has she lied about?

1. Obama's records are public... you can see for yourself exactly what she is talking about is true.

2. She was very upfront with her records. You can see the things she has done while in office, from eliminating unnecessary publically funded costs, to placing a plan in action to protect Alaska from the ever growing greenhouse emissions.

3. She was upfront about her daughter being pregnant. She didn't want to bring her daughter into the spotlight, but the left wing bloggers were attacking her daughter, and saying her precious son Trig was really her grandchild. They were attacking her abstinence only beliefs and calling her, basically a bad mother. She took that bull by the horn and hit them back head on with honesty, grace, and the viciousness of a mother protecting her child.

4. She has not lied about her family, her family history.

5. She has not changed her story, like Obama has on many occasions, to fit what various people want to hear. She is upfront on her abortion stance, she is upfront on her sexual education stance, she is upfront on who she is and how she'll vote. She's unashamed and if you don't like it too bad. (Unlike Obama who says he'll bring troops home in 3 months, then tells someone else he doesn't believe in Generic timetables and is more focused on getting the job done, then tells someone else the troops are coming home in 16 months.)

So where exactly are all of these lies?

Now let's get into the "daughter" issue.

She did not drag her daughter into the spotlight. To even accuse her of such a thing is just stupid.

A very disturbed left wing blogger started blogging that her son Trig, who was born with down syndrome, was really her daughter's son, and she was raising him as her own to avoid humiliation. The left wing media picked up on this, and she started recieving calls asking for information like "When did you get pregnant, when were the dates of your doctor visits, how was the child conceived" so on.

Because of this, she wanted to set the record straight before the liberal small minded idiots did more damage to her kids.

As for her being an unfit mother... why? Because she taught abstinence?

Sex education is everywhere. In Schools, on tv, in books, in magazines, even in commercials. Kids talk about it to each other. I'm sure her daughter knew all about safe sex. Her mother felt abstinence was more important because it is 100% fool proof, where as you can get pregnant if you are on the pill, and you can pass on an STD even if you wear a condom.

so she taught her daughter why she should wait.

So her daughter knew all the options available to her. After that all you can do is support the child you love in good times and in bad. The true test of a parent is, in those bad times, will you stand by your child, or cast them out and disown them? She chose to stand by her daughter despite what happened. That's true motherly love.

Ok, onto the "trying to get her sister's ex-husband fired".

this is simple.

One thing the media forgets to mention is that her ex-brother-in-law was accused of tasering his 10-year-old son, and threatening Palin's father with violence.

As for anti sex-ed and creationism...

Palin said during her 2006 gubernatorial campaign that she would not push the state Board of Education to add creation-based alternatives to the state’s required curriculum, or look for creationism advocates when she appointed board members. She has kept this pledge, according to the Associated Press.
Palin has spoken in favor of classroom discussions of creationism, in some cases. “I don’t think there should be a prohibition against debate if it comes up in class. It doesn’t have to be part of the curriculum,” Palin told the Anchorage Daily News in a 2006 interview.

“The explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support,” Palin wrote in a 2006 questionnaire distributed among gubernatorial candidates. Palin favors abstinence-based sex education programs.
